❀ ORIGIN: The Cistus labdanum is from the Mediterranean. This wild plant grows naturally in scrubland and scrub (on dry soils). The Cade is a thorny shrub, which is very common in Mediterranean regions. It appreciates arid and rocky soils. We have always used its wood for the sculpture of objects.
❀ SYMBOL: Cistus flowers have the ability to regenerate quickly and survive fires. Among the Romans, cade oil, extracted by heating wood, was used to wash the dead.
❀ Virtues: The Rockrose has Antihemorrhagic and antiseptic properties. Cade essential oil is recognized for its antiseptic and dermatological properties.
